Tennessee joined 22 other states in reaching a $25 million settlement for an alleged conspiracy to fix prices for vitamins sold to consumers and businesses in Tennessee and the other settling states. This alleged conspiracy artificially raised prices for all who purchased the vitamins. The settlement was secured in conjunction with a class action lawsuit pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
