DISH Network, L.L.C.

Leading a multistate group, Tennessee alleged that DISH Network, L.L.C., as well as its retailers, had engaged in deceptive business practices by making material omissions and misrepresentations in their marketing and sales, as well as by failing to adequately disclose the terms and conditions of their service agreements regarding rebates, programming limitations, and receiver limitations.  The multistate group also contended that DISH failed to adhere to state and federal laws regarding telemarketing and the improper electronic debiting of consumer bank accounts.  Tennessee received a settlement in the sum of $325,000 from DISH.  DISH also agreed to pay restitution to consumers that file a complaint.
